Earlier this year (2023), I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the a member of the 943rd Maintenance Squadron based at Davis-Monthan AFB with the HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters about a heritage scheme, after they see the design on the two A-10’s that were stationed at DM in the Vietnam scheme, initially they were not sure what scheme they wanted and I made a Vietnam scheme to commemorate the units history as an ARRS squadron during Vietnam flying the HH-3 Jolly Green Giant. Just before I sent the scheme the squadron were leaning towards another scheme from its history, I sent over the Vietnam scheme and was going to start the other scheme so they could choose, but it was quickly chosen to be the Vietnam scheme.
